The last reminder that the closing date for the contest is coming up soon this Saturday - Halloween. Maybe I'm thinking I chose a bad date to have the contest close but if anyone is working on a piece that is unfinished and they think they will be too busy to finish it in time just note me and we can figure something out.
I have also been busy so on a side note I just want to apologize to all my friends who I'm watching and that I haven't been able to comment on many works and have just been a fave-whore. I have been looking at your pieces and I think they're all great. I'll try to make time to comment once I get less busy hopefully.
Anyway everyone take care and have a happy Halloween!

What's this about?I know that alot of my friends who I watch here - and who watch me - are not only great visual artists but also amazing writers as well. And I've noticed that all of you have awesome imaginations that you use all the time to develope your art and your writing. I on the other hand have no writing skills whatsoever or storytelling ability either - so I want your imagination and skills with that!
The contest is this: write a piece of literature about one of four of my favourite pieces in my gallery.
I've been asked if there are stories behind these drawings and the truth is, there are not. I leave it up to your imagination as to what is going on and I think maybe that's the best.
So are you interested? (Please say yes!)
The Rules: (cuz there have to be some or else it'd be ANARCHY!!!)1. The writing has to be about one of the four drawings above. One entry per drawing but you're welcome to do an entry for each if you want.
2. It can be prose or poetry, but the max. number of words has to be around 500. (I don't want a full-blown novel or 100-stanza free verse, just an idea of the possibilities that your imagination can produce - sorta like a Flash Fiction if you want.)
3. Please nothing sexual, lets keep it PG for the kids.

4. Be original, try not to apply the art to a story you've already written but write something especially for the art.
5. I probably don't even need to mention it, but please don't plagiarize - or else I'll spank you!
6. Finally have fun and just write what inspires you. Even if the pictures invoke something completely ambiguous, surreal or seemingly unconnected to the pieces, do it anyway!

Prizes: (cuz there have to be some or else it'd be ANARCHY!!!)There'll be one 1st prize, two 2nd prizes and three Runners Up prizes for the entire contest.
